ILAPLD – LO Quick Checklist

Illinois Anti-Predatory Lending Database - For Illinois Mortgage Loan Originators

IMPORTANT: Do not wait until closing to address ILAPLD. If your loan is subject to ILAPLD requirements, the applicable certificate must be obtained, and the information must match the loan documents.

 1. Confirm ILAPLD Access

If you do not already have ILAPLD access:

Email: support@coast2coastml.com

Include:

  • Full Name
  • NMLS ID
  • Illinois License #
  • Email Address
  • Any registration/error message, if applicable

 2. Register for ILAPLD

Go to the official Illinois Anti-Predatory Lending Database (ILAPLD) website and select:

Broker Self Registration

Have available:

  • Illinois mortgage license number
  • 9-digit ILAPLD PIN — include leading zeros
  • Access to your MFA method

If you do not know your PIN or receive an error, contact C2C Support first.

ILAPLD Support: 888-455-2753
ILAPLD Email: service@ilapld.com

 3. Complete the ILAPLD Loan Entry

For applicable Illinois loans, enter the required information into ILAPLD.

Verify the information carefully, including:

  • Borrower name(s)
  • Property address
  • Property PIN
  • Lender
  • Loan/mortgage amount
  • Other required loan information

Timing: Required database information must be submitted within the applicable regulatory timeframe. Do not wait until closing.

 4. Generate the Applicable Certificate

Generate the applicable:

 Certificate of Compliance
 Certificate of Exemption

 5. VERIFY BEFORE CLOSING

Compare the ILAPLD certificate against the loan documents.

Confirm that the information matches, including:

 Borrower(s)
 Property address
 Property PIN
 Lender
 Loan/Mortgage amount
 Other applicable certificate information

DO NOT manually alter the certificate after it is generated.

 6. Upload / Retain in Loan File

Upload the applicable ILAPLD certificate to the loan file according to Coast2Coast file-document procedures.

The certificate should be treated as a closing/title requirement when applicable.

? STOP & ASK FOR HELP IF:

  • You cannot register for ILAPLD
  • You do not have your ILAPLD PIN
  • Your license information is not recognized
  • The property/loan information does not match
  • You are unsure whether the loan requires an ILAPLD certificate
  • The certificate contains incorrect information
  • The title/closing agent requests an ILAPLD document
